Vodrey is the author of A Centennial History of The Hall China Company, a book commemorating the 100th anniversary of The Hall China Company in her hometown of East Liverpool, Ohio. This full-color softcover volume is available at the Hall China web site. She serves as Director of Communications for the East Liverpool Area YMCA (www.YMCAnet.org) and as Secretary of the Tri-State Citizens' Scholarship Foundation (Dollars for Scholars). Vodrey served as food editor of COUNTRY DECORATOR magazine from 1997 to 2001. Since 1996, she has been published regularly in the food section of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Vodrey's photographs accompanied an article on Fiestaware in the May 2004 issue of AMERICAN HERITAGE magazine. Her articles, recipes, and essays have also appeared in GOURMET, WEIGHT WATCHERS MAGAZINE, COOKING PLEASURES, and COUNTRY HOME, as well as in specialty books and magazines published by BETTER HOMES & GARDENS and THE OLD FARMER'S ALMANAC. She is a contributing author to the cookbook The Old Farmer's Almanac Favorite Cookies. From 1993 to 2000, Vodrey wrote and published CONVIVIUM, a bimonthly food and cooking letter. CONVIVIUM was the subject of rave reviews from the likes of The Chicago Tribune and The Washington Post -- which in 1996 named it one of America's ten best culinary newsletters. It boasted subscribers in over three dozen states and half a dozen foreign countries. Vodrey is a contributing author to The Encyclopedia of Appalachia, a first-of-its-kind reference work (publication pending by East Tennessee State University).
